Bridie Carter was born 18.12.1970 in Melbourne.

Unlike her role as Tess McLeod Bridie has two younger brothers "the real life". The mother of this three leads a gallery in Melbourne as manageress. Because of the occupation of her mother was awaked Bridies passion of art. In the age of 6 she has her debut as actress.

Bridie Carter studied at the National Institute of Dramatic Art and degree in 1994, among others with Inge Hornstra; she will be later her colleague at the series McLeod´s Daughters. Five years later ensued Bridies big break on acting with the independent film Fresh Air acting a role called E.

After appearances in some series Bridie got the role as Tess Silvermann - McLeod in McLeod´s Daughters. In 2003 she was nominated for a Silver Logie as Most Popular Actress, one year later in the category Most Outstanding Actress and the same in 2005.

She married Michael Wilson in May 2004, and her son Otis was born 29th march 2005. The family lives in Byron Bay.

In April 2010 Bridie´s and Michael´s second son Tobias was born.

In her leisure Bridie provides Organizations like the Red Cross, and she is a member in the organisation Actors for Refugees. There she tries to call attention to the problems of refugees.

In the 6th series of McLeod´s Daughters she left the series at her own request, if have more time for the family.

But Bridie Carter don't become completly unfaithful the movie business. She played 2006 with the fellow from McLeods Daughters Brett Tucker and John Jarratt in a thriller called Crossing the Line.

In 2007 Bridie was nominated again for the TV Week Silver Logie as Most Popular Actress. Also in 2007 she appeared at "Dancing with the stars" and won with her dance partner Craig Monley.

In 2010 Bridie Carter acted as Marie in the movie I Love You Too.

The following year she could be seen in the short movie There´s a Hippopotamus on Our Roof Eating Cake.

In 2011 she played a character called Kate at the short movie Ragtime.

In 2011 Bridie Carter played an episode character at the series Special Rescue Ops. She could be seen in an episode of the series Wild Boys the same year.
