Luke Ashwood was born on 14.2.1981 in Sydney Australia. We know him better using his screen name Luke Jacobz. Instead of using his real surname he took his middle name and added a z on the end – and there was the screen name!
But before this happened, Luke went to Crestwood Primary School and Crestwood High School. Next to sports he early showed interest in drama, too. While his acting education he got private lessons and he attended a drama school also.
At the age of 17 he gave up his plumbing apprenticeship and concentrated on his acting career.
He was seen in some commercials and acted some minor parts. Getting the chance to act the character Zac Croft at the series Heartbreak High in 1998 was the first big success for Luke Jacboz.
Afterwards he did different job for example in a café, retail or he managed a youth hostel.
He advertised Pepsi.
With the start of the new millennium he travelled through Europe and the UK.
Back in Australia he became the moderator of the children’s program the Big Arvo and later of the Popstars show.
In 2005 Luke started to act the character Patrick Brewer (the younger brother of Dave Brewer) on the series McLeod’s Daughters. After a short appearance in season 5 he came back in season 6 and stayed in the cast till the series ended.
With his McLeod’s Daughters colleague Michala Banas he appeared in Channel 9´s Retro Show singing an Abba song together.
He was seen in Celebrity Singing Bee and Hole in the Wall.
In 2008 Luke Jacobz was part of the show Dancing with the stars. With his dancing partner Linda Koitor he won the final and steps into the footsteps of Bridie Carter who won the final the year before.
Acting policeman Angelo Luke is a part of the series Home and Away at the moment.
In 2009 Luke Jacobz was at a Telethon. He also was part of a soap opera special of "Beauty And The Geek - Australia" together with his collegue Ada Nicodemou.
In 2010 the relationship with Linda Koitor ended.
He was the moderator of X-Factor in 2011.
Luke Jacobz filmed his final scenes as Angelo at the series Home and Away in early 2011.
He was the moderator of X-Factor in 2012 either.
He is supporting the MD Foundation AU.
